Canaware NetNotes is an efficient cataloging tool that will help you have your favorite Web pages neatly organized. This free software tool can grab full Web pages (including the destinations of whatever hyperlinks happen to be part of the page) and create new articles with just the sections you are really interested in. The program can also remove any potentially dangerous tags and attributes, making sure that the pages you store in your “collection” are free of threats.
You can use Canaware NetNotes as just another Web browser, as the sites collected are fully functional as far as hyperlinks go. Both Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox are supported, and the Web pages selected are stored “as is”, preserving their original look and feel. All you need to do to add a new page is right-click on it and save it to NetNotes using the option added to your contextual menu by the program. All references to other pages or documents appear listed in a panel below the page, allowing you to select those you want the program to include in your catalog. Each page can be tagged and rated, and, what is more, they can be edited if needed. This will allow you to perform corrections and additions in the text and to apply some minor changes to the layout of the page.
It is important to note the program's excellent searching capabilities, allowing you to narrow your queries by selecting the right scope (content, title, keywords, or comments) or the size of the article in question. Finally, when it comes to organizing your collection, NetNotes allows you to create as many “libraries” as needed, and assign your Web sites and articles to the one that fits your preferences.
